STONETECH Delivers Full-Scope Natural Stone Applications for JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa
STONETECH, a leading Greek company in the field of natural stones, proudly announces its collaboration on the newly opened JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, a landmark hospitality destination developed for Marriott Hotels & Resorts. Situated on a 59,700-square-meter site with a built area of 13,600 square meters, this large-scale project exemplifies STONETECH’s capacity to deliver at the highest level of craftsmanship and complexity.
From the striking lobby and restaurants to the spa, bars, guestroom flooring, cladding, and bathroom coverings, STONETECH supplied a comprehensive selection of materials from its marble, travertine, and limestone collections. The project involved the creation of custom finishes, many of which were executed by hand and enhanced through STONETECH’s advanced production technologies.
Designed by internationally acclaimed Greek architecture practice BLOCK722, the JW Marriott Crete Resort masterfully blends modern luxury with the raw beauty of its natural surroundings. The architectural concept celebrates the site’s topography, integrating traditional building techniques and organic materials with contemporary design principles. The result is a harmonious fusion of elegance and authenticity.
Landscape design was led by Doxiadis+, with planting consultation by M&M Constructions Ltd, structural design by Plinth Engineers and spa & wellness consultants included Eminence Hospitality and Andrew Gibson.
