Celebrating 50 years of continuous growth, STONETECH — a vertically integrated leader in natural stone processing and trading — announces the launch of its new state-of-the-art production facility in Ypato, Viotia.This strategic investment of €10 million over five years strengthens STONETECH’s production capacity, technological edge, and international competitiveness.
The facility spans 75,000 m², including 10,000 m² of specialized production and storage areas, and is equipped with advanced robotic cutting systems, automated processing lines, and digital mapping technology. These capabilities deliver operational excellence, production flexibility, and faster execution of large-scale orders.
Aligned with STONETECH’s sustainability vision, the facility integrates the principles of the circular economy. It sources up to 80% of its energy from renewables, reuses 95% of its water, and ensures full recycling of marble by-products.
As a central hub for production, commercial support, and product showcasing, the facility includes a dedicated Slab Showroom featuring premium materials from both Greek and international quarries. Its scale and efficiency are expected to accelerate growth in key global markets, where exports already account for 40% of the company’s turnover.
STONETECH’s owned quarries remain a cornerstone of its production self-sufficiency, ensuring a consistent supply of raw materials and strict quality control. The new infrastructure builds on these strengths, enhancing responsiveness and operational agility.
The investment has also generated new employment opportunities, with the workforce projected to grow by 30%, prioritizing local recruitment and partnerships with regional suppliers — a move that further supports the economy of Viotia.
